St. Pauli took some big scalps in pre-season and they look ready to approach their first Bundesliga campaign since 2011 with confidence. They have had good backing the markets and will kick off Sunday’s opener against Heidenheim as 11/10 favourites.
The visitors know what it takes to establish a solid top-tier status quickly, however, Heidenheim did only win three way games last season and that record probably had an influence on their prices ahead of the weekend. Read more of our latest football tips by clicking the link.

Player to watch – Johannes Eggestein
Former Werder Bremen attacker Johannes Eggestein had plenty of Bundesliga experience and his knowhow should could in handy for a St. Pauli side gearing up to compete in Germany’s top tier for the first time since 2011.
Eggestein is already up and running
Eggestein broke his duck for the new domestic campaign with a well-taken goal in the DFB Pokal last week, so the 26-year-old should have enough confidence to carry his goal-scoring threat in Sunday’s opener against Heidenheim.
