Wrexham had the home advantage against Peterborough United in their last League One fixture and in the end, the Welsh side made it count.

A tight and tense first 45 ended goalless and this game appeared to be heading for a draw until the 87th minute when veteran forward Steven Fletcher fired home his fifth league goal of the campaign to secure a 1-0 win for Wrexham.

Player to watch: Paul Mullin

Paul Mullin has so often been the hero for Wrexham during their journey from the National League through to League One but some say that the striker has reached a level at which he can no longer lead the club from the front.

The last time that Mullin played in League One was during the 2019/20 season with Tranmere Rovers where he scored three times in 20 appearances. This season, the striker has scored twice in 23 league games for the Welsh club with teammates like Lee, Cleworth, Fletcher, Marriott and McClean all outscoring him.

Will Mullin find his goalscoring boots?

We're interested to see how the second half of the season goes for Mullin because if he can rediscover the form that helped him to 24 goals in League Two last season then Wrexham will surely be looking at another promotion.
