Shrewsbury preview: Returned to winning ways

Shrewsbury's winless run came to an end last time out away at fellow strugglers Crawley Town.

Paul Hurst's side came out on the right end of a 5-3 scoreline in what was an eight-goal thriller at the Broadfield Stadium. John Marquis and George Lloyd both helped themselves to a brace and defender Aristote Nsiala scored the other in a dominating second-half display.

Shrewsbury have now moved on to eight points, level with Northampton and Leyton Orient.

Predicted lineup: Savin (GK), Nsiala, Benning, M. Feeney, J. Feeney, Ojo, Gilliead, Rossiter, Castledine, Marquis & Lloyd

Player to watch: Josh Magennis

Josh Magennis is yet to score for Exeter having started in all nine league games for the club this season but the veteran forward has still put in some very impressive displays.

Magennis, 34, has only enjoyed one spectacular season in front of goal and that was during the 2020/21 campaign for Hull City in League One when he scored 18 times in 40 appearances.

Exeter's veteran forward has led the line well despite not scoring

So despite not scoring since moving to Exeter in the summer, Magennis has led the line really well and chipped in with three assists, helping to guide his team into seventh place. We're backing Maginnes to put in another good performance this week and back him to end his goal drought very soon.
