FCSB vs Shkendija predictions: Goals at both ends
Key stats
- Both teams found the net in eight of FCSB’s last six matches across all competitions.
- FCSB suffered a 1-0 defeat in the first leg of this tie.
- Shkendija are currently on a five-match unbeaten run across all competitions.
Correct score prediction: FCSB 2-1 Shkendija
Despite being the overwhelming favourites, FCSB’s recent run of results does not inspire much confidence, as they suffered three defeats in their last four games.
However, the Romanian Superliga giants have the advantage of playing at home, and considering the difference in quality between these squads, FCSB should be able to get back to winning ways.

FCSB preview: Looking to improve their fortunes
Facing a crucial battle for a place in the third qualifying round, FCSB will be without Florin Tanase, who features as a midfielder and a striker for the team, due to his sending off in the defeat at Shkendija last Tuesday.
In Tanase’s absence, David Miculescu will likely start up front in Elias Charalambous’ preferred 4-2-3-1 formation. The 24-year-old was on the scoresheet in last weekend's defeat against Farul Constanta.
Alexandru Pantea missed the first leg as he was struggling with a muscle injury, but returned last weekend as a second-half substitute in their league game, making him available for action this midweek.
Predicted lineup: Tarnovanu (GK), Radunovic, Popescu, Ngezana, Cretu, Sut, Chiriches, Politic, Olaru, Cisotti & Miculescu.

Shkendija preview: Eyeing the sweep
Shkendija will look to keep their fairytale run going in this competition after a 1-0 advantage over FCSB has put them within touching distance of the third qualifying round.
Coach Jeton Bekiri’s side head into this clash with a fully fit squad and one suspension: holding midfielder Kamer Qaka, who was sent off during the first leg for violent conduct.
Bekiri is expected to stick with his strongest XI for this game, with Adamu Alhassan coming in to replace Qaka as the pivot partner alongside Reshat Ramadani, while the experienced Besart Ibraimi leads the attack as the lone forward.
Predicted lineup: Gaye (GK), Trumci, Cake, Fetai, Webster, Alhassan, Ramadani, Tamba, Krasniqi, Krstevski & Ibraimi.
