Venezia vs Roma prediction: Goals at both ends of the pitch?
Key Stats
- Both teams have scored in four of Venezia's last five fixtures.
- Four of Roma's last six outings have ended with both teams scoring.
- Roma have won three of their last six matches across all competitions.
- Venezia have lost three of their last six matches in Serie A.
Correct score prediction: Venezia 1-2 Roma
We're backing Roma to secure a narrow 2-1 win this weekend just as they did in their reverse league meeting with Venezia back in September. The hosts are without a win in their last six matches and face a Roma side that have scored at least two goals in three of their last six outings in league and cup.

Venezia preview: Undone at Udinese
Venezia came out on the wrong end of a 3-2 scoreline when they played out a five-goal thriller at the Bluenergy Stadium last weekend.
The home side went in at the break 1-0 up and doubled their advantage early in the second 45. However, goals from Hans Nicolussi and Christian Gytkjaer brought Venezia level by the 78th minute only for Udinese to score a winning goal six minutes from the end.
Richie Sagrado, Alfred Duncan, Michael Svoboda, Marin Sverko, Giorgio Altare and Domen Crnigoj could all miss out this weekend due to injury and goalkeeper Filip Stankovic may also miss out having been substituted just 18 minutes into the Udinese game.
Predicted lineup: Joronen (GK), Haps, Candé, Idzes, Schingtienne, Nicolussi, Yeboah, Busio, Doumbia, Zerbin & Oristanio

Roma preview: Held by Napoli
Roma suffered a 3-1 defeat in the Coppa Italia in midweek away at AC Milan, bringing an end to their three-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
Last weekend, Roma played host to Napoli and trailed at the interval after former employer Leonardo Spinazzola scored for the visitors. The game appeared to be going Napoli's way until two minutes into stoppage time when full-back Angelino scored to earn Roma a share of the spoils.
Forward Ola Solbakken and midfielder Edoardo Bove could both miss the trip to Venezia this weekend due to injury and illness.
Predicted lineup: Svilar (GK), Angeliño, Mancini, Ndicka, Rensch, Cristante, Kone, Pisilli, El Shaarawy, Dovbyk & Soule

Player to watch – Artem Dovbyk
Artem Dovbyk has been put on the bench in the last couple of Roma games but the Ukrainian international striker came on to score Roma's only goal in the 3-1 defeat to AC Milan in the Coppa Italian on Wednesday night.

Dovbyk, 27, top scores in Serie A for Roma this season with eight goals and the former Girona man heads into Sunday's clash with Venezia on the back of five goals from his last ten appearances across all competitions.
The Ukrainian top scores for Roma this season
We're backing Dovbyk to play from the start this weekend but even if he doesn't we can see Roma's target man coming off the bench to cause the opposition's defence plenty of issues.
