RFS preview: Hoping to salvage their UCL qualifying campaign
RFS are battling with Riga for the Latvian Virsliga title this season, with both sides leaving all other top-flight teams in their wake. They routed Tukums 2000 6-2 last Saturday to remain three points adrift of the top spot.
While they are still in the hunt for the Virsliga title, the chance for a place in the third qualifying round of this competition has become very slim after their 4-1 defeat to Malmo at home last Tuesday.
Coach Viktors Morozs is expected to make some changes to the starting XI that routed Tukums last weekend. On the injury front, Alfusainey Jatta, Niks Slied and Herdi Preng all remain sidelined for the visitors.
Predicted lineup: Maric (GK), Zelenkov, Lipuscek, Prenga, Savalnieks, Odisharia, Panic, J. Ikaunieks, Njie, D. Ikaunieks & Lemajic.
