Team Information, Preview, and Real Madrid vs AC Milan Lineups
Real Madrid
Like always, Real Madrid had a busy summer of transfers. There were some big changes in the team for the future and the club accomplished their biggest transfer with the arrival of Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund. There was another young talent added to the core with the 18-year-old Arda Guler joining the club from Fenerbahce. Fran Garcia and a veteran Joselu are the new additions as well. There were some important departures, however. Karim Benzema, the star striker of the team for more than a decade went to Saudi Arabia in one of the biggest transfers in history. Marco Asensio joined PSG on a free transfer while contract expired from Eden Hazard and Mariano Diaz. The important news is that Luka Modric has also extended his contract for another year.
Probable lineup: Courtois, Militao, Fernandez, Mendy, Carvajal, Tchouameni, Bellingham, Camavinga, Kroos, Rodrygo, Joselu.
AC Milan
The former Serie A champions are not in a position to spend money the same way their opponent on this day is able too, but it doesn't mean that AC Milan wasn't active during the last month. Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic joined the club from Chelsea while Tijjani Reijnders was signed away from AZ Alkmaar. The Milan giants funded those move with an Italian record transfer of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle. There are issues with the team before the new season as the club is trying to offload Ante Rebic, but there are no takers at this time.
Probable lineup: Maignan, Tomori, Kalulu, Calabria, Ballo-Toure, Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Reijnders, De Ketelaere, Origi, Lazetic.
Player to Watch: Jude Bellingham
When you are the highest-paid player in Real Madrid history, it means something. Jude Bellingham certainly belongs in that category. There is a big difference in the quality of Bundesliga in contrast to La Liga and it will take time for the English midfielder to find his way. He will have plenty of mentors with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos still around the locker room.
Bellingham joined Dortmund three years ago from Birmingham when he was only 17 years old and his improvement over the years was so fast that it didn't take long for teams around Europe to start circling. Bellingham has played 132 games for Borussia scoring 24 goals and assisting on 25 occasions.
Starting lineups
Starting lineups are usually released 60 minutes before kick-off.
