Rangers vs Middlesbrough predictions: Goals expected to flow
Key stats
- At least four goals were scored in four of Rangers’ last five matches.
- Rangers are currently on a seven-match unbeaten run across all competitions.
- Middlesbrough have no wins in their last five games.
Correct score prediction: Rangers 1-3 Middlesbrough
Rangers defeated Panathinaikos by two unanswered goals in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League qualifying tie earlier this week, and they have a difficult trip to Greece for the second leg in a few days.
Given the importance of next week's fixture, Russell Martin will likely rest most of his starters this weekend, so a full-strength Middlesbrough side should be able to win.

- DRAW: 5/2 (3.50) – 28.6%

Rangers preview: Changes expected
Russell Martin's era started with a win as Findlay Curtis and Djeidi Gassama both scored to hand Rangers a 2-0 win over Greek side Panathinaikos in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Round 2 qualification encounter last Tuesday.
With the second leg scheduled for next week, the former Southampton coach is expected to make some changes for this game, but it's unclear who his choices will be.
On the injury front, the Scottish giants have right-back Dujon Sterling out due to Achilles tendon injury, while right winger Rabbi Matondo is out because of a knee surgery.
Predicted lineup: Butler (GK), Tavernier, Djiga, Souttar, Aarons, Diomande, Rothwell, Raskin, Dowell, Dessers & Curtis.

Middlesbrough preview: Looking to halt their winless streak
Middlesbrough are yet to register a win after two preseason friendlies, drawing with Mansfield and losing to Bradford in recent days. With three more preparatory games lined up for them before their first Championship match of the new season against Swansea, Boro will look to put their act together.
The visitors added Owen Foster to their goalkeeping department on a free transfer this summer. The former Torquay shot-stopper could make his debut this weekend for the Riverside outfit.
Alex Bangura suffered a new injury in the friendly defeat to Bradford on Wednesday. He remains a major doubt for this weekend's encounter alongside midfielder Aidan Morris, who is sidelined with a knee injury.
Predicted lineup: Glover (GK), Berg, Lenihan, Fry, Borges, Hackney, Morris, Silvera, McGree, Whittaker & Conway.

Player to watch: Tom Glover

While Tom Glover was on the bench for Middlesbrough's last 17 Championship fixtures last season, the Australian shot-stopper has started both of their friendlies so far. Glover has held his own for the most part, conceding only once in almost three halves of football. It will be interesting to see how he performs against Rangers.
