Rangers to win (-1.5 handicap)

Rangers have won three of their last six matches by two goals or more.

Rangers will take on Aberdeen on Saturday, 31 October, with both teams looking to book their place in the Scottish League Cup final.

Following a midweek draw against Hearts, Gers trail Celtic by four points in the Scottish Premiership, but that can be to one side this weekend as they search for cup glory.

Rangers will fancy their chances of qualifying for the final of the Scottish League Cup Final this weekend, as their recent record against Aberdeen is mightily impressive.

In addition to winning each of their last five matches against the Dons, they have lost just once across their last 11 encounters with them. Additionally, Rangers have won each of their last three clashes with them at Hampden Park.

Gers' overall record at Hampden Park in recent years is mixed, though, with four wins and four defeats from their last eight matches at the national stadium.

Rangers vs Aberdeen – Whispers Insight

Aberdeen have scored just one goal in their last five games against Rangers.

The match feels like one of the biggest of Derek McInnes' reign as Rangers boss to date. If he can get the club into a final at the first opportunity, he will convince more supporters that he is the man for the job long-term.

McInnes is without seven injured players for this one, including Youssef Chermiti, Lawrence Shankland and Cammy Devlin.

As for Aberdeen, their recent form isn't that of a team capable of going to Hampden Park and causing an upset.

The Dons have lost three of their last four matches in the Scottish Premiership, and haven't beaten Rangers at Hampden Park since 1989.

Rangers vs Aberdeen – Whispers Insight

Rangers have kept five clean sheets in their last 10 matches in all competitions.

Manager Stephen Robinson is under pressure for the first time since taking the job back in March, but a win here would relieve all of that and make him one of the most popular Aberdeen managers in living memory.

Robinson is without Lewis Mayo, Mats Knoester and Connor Ronan due to injury and Dan Happe through suspension.
