🔥 Our Hot tip

PSG to win (-1 handicap)

PSG have won four of their last five matches by a margin of two goals or more.

PSG will take on Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup on Wednesday, 9 July, with a place in the competition's inaugural final at stake.

Both teams are deserving of their place in the final four, with PSG winning all five of their matches and Real Madrid winning four and drawing one.

As the other semi-final is between Chelsea and Fluminense, both teams will perhaps privately feel that if they can win this, then they should go on to become world champions.

As part of our ongoing selection of Club World Cup betting tips, check out our PSG vs Real Madrid prediction below.

PSG vs Real Madrid prediction: The European champions to triumph

Key stats

  • PSG have won two of their last four matches against Spanish teams by two goals or more.
  • Real Madrid conceded twice in the match against Borussia Dortmund in the previous round.
  • Ousmane Dembele has scored 34 goals in all competitions for PSG over the last 12 months.

Correct score prediction: PSG 3-1 Real Madrid

There isn't a side better in Europe than PSG at the moment, as they proved during the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League. While Real Madrid have impressed under Xabi Alonso during the Club World Cup, the momentum, cohesion and quality in the PSG squad should see them over the line.

PSG preview: Missing two defenders

PSG will be without two defenders for the clash with Real Madrid, as Wilian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez were both sent off in the second half of their quarter-final against Bayern Munich. As Hernandez had only come on as a substitute, only one change to the starting XI is required.

Player to watch: Gonzalo Garcia

Gonzalo Garcia has had a breakthrough tournament for Real Madrid during the Club World Cup, scoring four goals and registering one assist across his five starts at the tournament. The forward was well down the pecking order while Carlo Ancelotti was the manager but Xabi Alonso has seen something in him that he likes.
