PSG Transfer News: How much is star forward Kylian Mbappe worth?

Kylian Mbappe continues to steal much of the headlines in the summer transfer window, with the PSG star once again linked with a move away from Paris.

The France icon has endured an interesting relationship with his current club to say the least, although the same can be said for the likes of Neymar and indeed Lionel Messi during his time in the capital.

Premier League giants Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal have all been linked with the 24-year-old over the years.

Spanish outfit Barcelona can be added to that list, but their fierce rivals Real Madrid have had the strongest links over time.

And all of those clubs have been put on red alert after the attacker recently announced his decision not to extend his stay at PSG beyond next summer.

His current deal expires in June 2024, meaning there is a very high chance of Mbappe leaving France this summer in order for PSG not to lose their star man for free next time around.

How much is Mbappe worth?

The latest development in the Mbappe saga suggests the forward is requesting a salary package worth €240m (£206m) if he is to move to any club in the coming months.

Los Blancos seemingly came close to his signature last summer, but it is believed their objective is to now secure his services for free next year.

The La Liga club reportedly do not want to fork out the huge sum required to take him away from PSG in this transfer window.

There is simply no telling where the hitman will end up next season, but one certainty is that it will take a huge fee to sign him, as well as a huge sum to meet his wage demands.

Whoever can afford him, they are set to be in for a phenomenal campaign, with several trophies on the cards.

Another phenomenal Mbappe season

Mbappe has proven time and again that he is one of the best players on the planet, both for PSG and for France.

The 24-year-old is currently relaxing on holiday after another superb campaign for PSG, where he scored 41 goals from his 43 matches in all competitions.

The majority of those (29) came in Ligue 1, where the Paris-based outfit lifted yet another league title, but this time only beating Lens by a single point.

Mbappe finished top of the goalscoring standings, edging past Lyon ace Alexandre Lacazette who scored 27.

The PSG icon found the back of the net seven times from his eight Champions League matches last season, adding another five in the Coupe de France, all of which came in a 7-0 thrashing of US Pays de Cassel.

Mbappe also hit the headlines in the 2022 World Cup, with the young forward clinching the Golden Boot thanks to his eight strikes, which included a stunning hat-trick in the final loss to Argentina.

Despite still having a long way to go in his career, the attacker already boasts 164 Ligue 1 goals, along with 40 in the Champions League.
