Paris Saint-Germain came from behind to beat Strasbourg 3-1 in Ligue 1 over the weekend, extending their winning streak to six games in all competitions.

The hosts, who have won the last two UEFA Champions League titles, have enjoyed an ideal start to their title defence with wins over Slovan Bratislava (6-1) and Manchester City (4-2). They currently lead the league phase standings, edging second-placed Barcelona on goals scored.

Luis Enrique managed the workload of key forwards Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue during Saturday's win over Strasbourg, restricting them to second-half cameos, though both still managed to get on the scoresheet. The French duo are expected to rejoin the starting lineup for Tuesday's clash, with Dembele seeking to extend his scoring streak in the Champions League to seven matches.

There are deep ties to Barcelona across this PSG side. Dembele, Torres, and Digne are facing their old team, while Luis Enrique spent eight years there as a player before returning as coach to win the 2014/15 treble, delivering Barcelona's last Champions League trophy.

Senny Mayulu remains sidelined with a muscle injury, while both Nuno Mendes and summer signing Maghnes Akliouche are major doubts for this skirmish after picking up knocks against Strasbourg

On the other hand, it was business as usual for Barcelona over the weekend, as they cruised to a comfortable 5-2 victory on the road against a Real Betis side that had previously maintained a 100% home record for the season.

With that in mind, Hansi Flick's troops have now won 13 consecutive matches across all competitions, including victories over Feyenoord (5-1) and Galatasaray (4-1) in the Champions League.

The Catalan giants are the most potent attacking team in Europe, as they lead all clubs across Europe's top five leagues in scoring, having netted 39 goals in La Liga and another nine in the Champions League. Spearheading that attack is Raphinha, who tops the individual scoring charts with 12 league goals and two in the Champions League.

The Brazilian is expected to return to Barcelona's starting lineup after recovering from a thigh injury, having eased back into action with a 20-minute substitute appearance against Betis on Saturday. Meanwhile, Andreas Christensen (thigh) and Roony Bardghji (cruciate ligament) remain ruled out for the visitors, while Eric Garcia and Gabriel Jesus are both questionable after picking up fresh knocks over the weekend.

PSG have been the dominant side in recent clashes between these teams, as they won the last two H2Hs and have lost only once in their last five meetings with Barcelona (W3, D1).
