Omonia head into the second leg as reigning Cypriot champions after returning to the Champions League qualifiers following a lengthy absence.
Their European adventure began promisingly with a 1-0 home win over Kairat, but they were knocked out in heartbreaking fashion after losing the return fixture 6-5 on penalties following a 1-0 defeat in normal time.
