Free Betting Tips for Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest

Here are our Premier League predictions for Saturday's match between Chelsea and Nottingham Forest live from Stamford Bridge. Despite losing two of their opening three league games, Nottingham Forest have looked decent going forward so far this season and should cause Chelsea some problems this weekend. Pochetinno's men picked up their first win of the season last time out against Luton and will be confident of securing all 3pts on Saturday with an in-form Sterling in their starting eleven.

  • Chelsea have won four of their last six games against Nottingham Forest.
  • Both league games between these two sides last season saw both teams score.
  • Both teams have scored in four of the hosts' and three of the visitors' last six outings in all competitions.

Raheem Sterling to Score

  • Sterling scored twice against Luton last time out.
  • Sterling managed 6 league goals for Chelsea last season but much more is expected from the pacey wideman in 2023/24.
  • Nottingham Forest have conceded goals in all of their opening three league games.

Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest Lineups & Last Match

Chelsea

Chelsea were in full control against Luton last Friday, scoring three times without reply. Sterling was the man-of-the-match, scoring two goals and creating the third, suggesting that the former Liverpool and Man City man is getting back to his very best. Wesley Fofana, Nkunku, Chuwuemeka, Broja, James, Mudryk, Lavia, Badiashile and Bettinelli are all injury concerns this weekend, leaving Pochetinno with very few choices for his starting eleven.

Predicted Lineup – Sánchez (GK), Silva, Chilwell, Disasi, Gusto, Colwill, Gallagher, Fernández, Caicedo, Sterling & Jackson

Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest blew a two-goal lead at Old Trafford last weekend, losing the game 3-2 on a dodgy penalty decision. Awoniyi scored to become only the third African player to score in seven league games on the run and in the 4th-minute, Boly made it 2-0. United pulled a goal back before the break and equalised early in the second-half before going on to win the game via a penalty that shouldn't have been given in the 76th minute. Felipe, Richards, Hennessey, Mangala and McKenna are all injury concerns while Worrall is suspended.

Predicted Lineup – Turner (GK), Aurier, Boly, Aina, McKenna, Williams, Gibbs-White, Yates, Danilo, Awoniyi & Elanga

Player to Watch: Taiwo Awoniyi

Nottingham Forest's Nigerian forward is in the form of his life right now, equaling the record for consecutive goals scored in the Premier League by an African player last weekend against Man Utd.

The 26-year-old has netted 3-goals in his opening three games so far this season and although his side have lost two of those games, he has really impressed on each occasion and could prove to be a massive player for Nottingham Forest in 2023/24.

While Chelsea are the big favourites to win this game, we will certainly have one eye on Awoniyi to see if he can continue his fantastic run in front of goal against a Chelsea defence that has been exposed at times this season.
