BTTS: Yes

Arsenal have not kept a clean sheet in three away games.

Arsenal return to Premier League action against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday evening after beating Chelsea 3-2 at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final in midweek. The overall scoreline was perhaps closer than the Gunners wanted given how the game went, but at least they emerged victorious.

In terms of the league, Arsenal were held to a 0-0 draw by reigning champions Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium last time out, but retained a six-point lead at the top of the table. Meanwhile, Forest lost on penalties to Championship opposition in Wrexham last time out in the third round of the FA Cup, and although they beat fellow relegation rivals West Ham 2-1 away from home in the league, they are still in danger in 17th place.

Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal prediction: Gunners to keep on firing?

Key stats

  • Forest have lost five of their last six games in all competitions.
  • Arsenal have won nine of their previous 10 matches across all competitions.
  • Arsenal are also unbeaten in the previous five H2Hs.

Correct score prediction: Nottingham Forest 1-3 Arsenal

Arsenal are in such great form that is hard to see anything other than a win for Mikel Arteta's men. However, they have been leaking a few goals lately, so Forest could at least get on the scoresheet.

Pre-game odds and win probability: Arsenal favourites with bookmakers

  • HOME: 19/4 (5.75) – 17.4%
  • DRAW: 3/1 (4.00) – 25.0%
  • AWAY: 4/7 (1.57) – 63.6%

As shown by the implied probabilities, Arsenal are unsurprisingly the favourites with bookmakers to claim yet another three points on their travels. A draw can still be backed at 25%, while a Forest win on home soil is rated at just over 17%.

Most recent H2Hs: Arsenal expectedly on top

As mentioned before, Arsenal are unbeaten in the last five meetings between the two sides. However, their last trip to the City Ground ended in a 0-0 draw, so the Gunners will still have to be wary of Forest.

Viktor Gyokeres stole the headlines with a goal and assist against Chelsea in midweek. Arsenal will hope that the striker can now really kick on after a fairly underwhelming eight goals in all competitions so far this season.
