All of Huijsen's potential suitors will be aware that the centre-back has a £50m release clause in his Bournemouth contract. That may seem steep for a player who is still in his first Premier League season, but the 19-year-old has already shown that he has all the attributes to be one of Europe's best defenders.

Huijsen has all the qualities of a modern day defender. The youngster is a great reader of the game, demonstrated by the fact he is in the top 10 for interceptions in the Premier League. His long-passing range also allows him to contribute when his team is in possession.
Upgrade? (3.5/5): Defensive refresh
Newcastle currently have the formidable centre-back partnership of Fabian Schar and Dan Burn. But while the pair are regular starters, the Magpies will be aware that they are both in their 30s and are heading towards the latter stages of their career. Huijsen would certainly help Eddie Howe refresh his backline ahead of next season.
Logic (1.5/5): Hard to turn down Real Madrid
Newcastle could become a strong option for Huijsen if they secure Champions League qualification. However, the Spanish defender is unlikely to reject the chance to join Real Madrid, with Carlo Ancelotti's side believed to be leading the race to secure his signature.
