BTTS - No

Lazio have scored an average of 0.63 goals in their away league games, while Napoli have netted in each one of their 15 home matches this term.

Napoli and Lazio, separated by 22 points inside the Serie A top 10, take on each other in what is promised to be a high-intensity thriller at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples.

The Partenopei cruised to a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture – marking their first H2H win since September 2022. A first league double over the Biancocelesti since 2021-22 is a realistic prospect for Antonio Conte’s men.

Napoli’s five-game winning streak came to a halt last time out, as Parma held them to a 1-1 draw at Stadio Ennio Tardini.

The Partenopei sit nine points behind league leaders Inter Milan with six games remaining. Although they’re mathematically still in the title race, any slip up now will hand the Nerazzurri their 21st Scudetto before the final matchday.

Conte’s men were especially brilliant in the reverse fixture back in January – their first game of the calendar year. Two first-half goals from Leonardo Spinazzola and Amir Rrahmani ensured all three points for the visitors.

Five Napoli players are expected to miss this game, including Rrahmani, Romelu Lukaku, Di Lorenzo, David Neres and Antonio Vegara.

The visitors also saw their five-match unbeaten run end last time. Fiorentina edged the Biancocelesti 1-0 in Florence to inflict a second consecutive winless game, after Parma held Lazio to a 1-1 draw earlier.

Back-to-back winless outings have unsettled Maurizio Sarri and company. Now occupying ninth position, a top-half Serie A finish is under threat, with Udinese and Sassuolo trailing them closely.

With six games left, catching up with the nearest European spot held by rivals Roma 13 points away seems unlikely.

Lazio have a long list of injuries as well. Nicolo Rovella, Samuel Gigot, Ivan Provedel, Daniel Maldini, Adam Marusic and Mario Gila are all sidelined for this encounter.

Whispers Predicts: Napoli 2-0 Lazio

Napoli are undefeated in their last 26 Serie A home games. Placing your bet on Napoli as the outright winner at 3/5 is a straightforward prediction.

Napoli are yet to drop points at home when leading at half-time. They have led at the break in seven of their 15 home games. Backing Napoli to win at half-time at 23/20 is a realistic scenario.

Lazio’s inability to score against Fiorentina spoke volumes of their attacking struggles. A league-low eight of Lazio’s matches this season have seen both teams score. Furthermore, each of Lazio’s four recent games have been low-scoring, featuring under 2.5 goals. Backing a BTTS – No & Under 2.5 total goals at 1/1 provides sizeable dividends.

Scott McTominay is Napoli’s talisman. The Scot netted a significant strike to salvage a point against Parma, making it two goals in his last three appearances. At 12/5, McTominay to score anytime is offers clear value.
