Mechelen vs Club Brugge team news

Mechelen

Mechelen played host to fellow mid-table side Sint-Truiden last weekend but conceded two first-half goals and ended up losing the game 2-0. That result sees the gap between the two clubs grow to four points and ended Mechelen's mini-unbeaten run of four games in all competitions.

Predicted Lineup: Coucke (GK), Walsh, Vanlerberghe, Bates, Cobbaut, Foulon, Hairemans, Schoofs, Konaté, Mrabti & Bassette

Club Brugge

Club Brugge ran out comfortable 2-0 winners in their last league game at home to Standard Liege. Brazilian forward Thiago opened the scoring after just three minutes and the creator of that goal, Philip Zinckernagel, doubled the home side's advantage ten minutes into the second half.

Club Brugge still have plenty of work to do if they are to challenge for the league title this season as they currently sit 12 points behind Union Saint-Gilloise.

Predicted Lineup: Mignolet (GK), Mechele, De Cuyper, Spileers, Vanaken, Zinckernagel, Vetlesen, Onyedika, Buchanan, Jutglà & Thiago

Player to Watch: Philip Zinckernagel

Philip Zinckernagel has been one of Club Brugge's most consistent players this season, creating and scoring goals regularly for the Belgian giants.

Zinckernagel created one goal and scored the other in Club Brugge's last game against Standard Liege, putting the Dane on four goals and three assists for the season.

We're backing Zinckernagel to have another good game this weekend, which should lead to another Club Brugge victory.
