Read all of the latest injury updates and team news for this duel, including our predicted PSG vs Marseille lineups.

PSG

PSG have been shaky so far and last weekend they suffered their first defeat when edged at home 2-3 by Nice. The Parisians don’t have problems scoring goals but they have issues controlling the midfield and defending.

This was not the case in midweek when PSG opened their Champions League campaign with a 2-0 home win vs Dortmund. Mbappe once again led by example and scored in his sixth consecutive match.

PSG are likely to still be missing Asensio. Also, there are still several long-term absentees but the squad is big and there is lots of competition for each position on the pitch.

Predicted Lineup:

Donnarumma (GK), Hakimi, Marquinhos, Skriniar, Hernandez, Vitinha, Zaire-Emery, Lee, Dembele, Kolo Muani & Mbappe

Marseille

Marseille are unbeaten after 5 rounds but they were held to draws in 3 of their last 4 league matches. Last weekend despite dominating from start to finish Marseille failed to find a goal when hosting Toulouse and they had to settle for a 0-0 final score.

Another draw was registered on Thursday in the Europa League. In an open and exciting clash, Marseille drew 3-3 away vs Ajax.

Despite starting often experienced striker Aubameyang is yet to score in the league. Instead, Vitinha has 2 goals already and he might be preferred from the off now as he is better suited for play on counterattack anyway.

Winger Sarr misses the game injured and he will be a big loss. Scored 2 and assisted for 2 more in his first 6 matches for the club. Ruiz is also out but plenty of cover for him is available.

Predicted Lineup:

Lopez (GK), Clauss, Mbemba, Balerdi, Lodi, Mughe, Rongier, Veretout, Correa, Oliviera & Vitinha

Player to Watch: Kylian Mbappe

Now Neymar and Messi are gone it is all about Kylian Mbappe in PSG’s attack and the explosive striker keeps answering the call game after game. Mbappe has now scored in 6 consecutive games for PSG. He has 7 goals in 309 minutes of league football played.

We simply can’t see anyone able to stop Mbappe getting on the scoresheet right now and that’s why we back him again.
