Manchester United are already thinking about next summer's transfer window and are reportedly interested in an undisputed starter at Juventus.

Manchester United confirmed the departure of Ruben Amorim at the start of 2026 and appointed Michael Carrick as interim manager until the end of the season. A decision that makes any moves from the Red Devils during this January window unlikely.

They are instead expected to act next summer, either with the arrival of a permanent manager or by confirming Michael Carrick should he convince the board over the next six months. As such, Calcio Mercato has already revealed a first target for the Mancunian club ahead of summer 2026.

According to the Italian outlet, Manchester United are among the suitors for Pierre Kalulu alongside Aston Villa and Tottenham. The French centre-back is in excellent form at Juventus, where he has established himself as an undisputed starter. He has featured in 28 matches this season, starting every single one.

Juventus set asking price for Pierre Kalulu

Also capable of filling in at right-back, the 25-year-old has all the makings of a shrewd signing for these three Premier League sides. Kalulu could notably replace Harry Maguire, who is attracting interest from Serie A with Inter Milan, Napoli and AC Milan all keen, at Old Trafford.

Valued at £23.7m (€28m) by Transfermarkt, the Lyon academy graduate is reportedly available to leave the Old Lady for £25.5m (€30m). A sum well within reach for English clubs, particularly Manchester United. Juventus, who may need to sell next summer, could make a tidy profit on the deal given the former AC Milan man joined Turin last summer for £17m including bonuses.
