Jonathan David's future at Juventus appears uncertain ahead of the summer transfer window, with Manchester United and several other clubs monitoring the situation.

Jonathan David was one of the most sought-after free agents of last summer's transfer window. The former Lille man ultimately chose to move to Turin to join Juventus. After a difficult start to the season, the Canadian striker appears to be finding his feet under manager Luciano Spalletti.

The 26-year-old has scored four goals and provided three assists in 2026, benefiting in particular from Dusan Vlahovic's adductor injury — the Serbian has been absent since late November and is expected to return in mid-March — to accumulate playing time.

However, the Old Lady does not appear to have been convinced by David's first few months at the club.

Juventus ready to part ways with Jonathan David

According to TeamTalk, Juventus will allow David to leave this summer if they are able to recruit another high-calibre international striker. The Canadian international's future is therefore very much up in the air, with intermediaries already having alerted a number of Premier League clubs to his availability.

According to the same source, Manchester United, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Tottenham, Brighton, Everton, Sunderland, Nottingham Forest and Leeds — all identified as clubs that could be in the market for a striker in the next transfer window — have been made aware of David's situation.

Among those clubs, the Red Devils — who are expected to part ways with Rasmus Hojlund permanently and could also move on from disappointing Joshua Zirkzee — appear to be the most likely destination for the Canadian, particularly with a potential Champions League qualification on the horizon.

Dusan Vlahovic preferred to Jonathan David?

The former Lille man's chances of an exit will increase further if Juventus manage to extend Vlahovic's expiring contract.

The Italian giants have reportedly resumed talks with the Serbian striker in a bid to reach an agreement, with Spalletti said to have been more convinced by Vlahovic than by David.

Juventus's board believe the Serbian remains the club's best option as a centre-forward and have decided to increase their offer to persuade him to stay. No asking price has yet been set for David, who is valued at £30m by Transfermarkt.
