Manchester City are still searching for a goalkeeper this summer and have been in talks with PSG over Gianluigi Donnarumma for several days. With negotiations stalling, the English club are reportedly considering an alternative option.

Donnarumma looking for a way out

Placed on the transfer list following the arrival of Lucas Chevalier, Donnarumma needs to find a new club before the summer window closes. Several Premier League sides have expressed interest in the Italian keeper, with Manchester City leading the chase. Despite signing James Trafford, the Citizens also want to move on from Ederson permanently.

Although Donnarumma has reportedly agreed personal terms with City, the deal is at a standstill, largely due to PSG’s valuation. The French club are asking around €50m (£43m), while City hope to complete a deal closer to €25–30m (£21–26m).

Senne Lammens emerges as a potential alternative

According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, City have opened a new line of inquiry for Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens. The 23-year-old was previously linked with Manchester United at the start of the window, but nothing concrete materialised.

Lammens enjoyed a strong season with Royal Antwerp, attracting interest from several European clubs. He is currently valued at just €9m on Transfermarkt but still lacks top-level experience.

If Pep Guardiola approves the profile, Lammens could become a more credible option than Donnarumma and potentially leapfrog him in the pecking order. Some sources suggest City may also be using the move strategically, applying pressure on PSG to lower their financial demands.
