Already on Barcelona‘s radar, Bernardo Silva, who is highly courted on the transfer market, is in the sights of another European heavyweight.

At the end of his contract at the end of the season with Manchester City, Silva has a very interesting contractual situation for his suitors. Juventus and Benfica Lisbon quickly appeared as serious contenders for the 31-year-old Portuguese midfielder.

Barcelona want to sign Bernardo Silva for free

And this, whilst the latter still leaves doubt hanging over his future and notably on a potential contract extension at the Sky Blues, where he is still a key player with 12 matches played this season. This has not prevented Deco from taking the lead with Silva, who has been tracked by Barcelona for a few years.

With their limited financial means, FC Barcelona are targeting a free arrival of the former AS Monaco player next summer and have already made contact with the Portuguese playmaker's representatives, who is also targeted by Saudi clubs. But a new European heavyweight have just launched the matter.

Inter Milan have also launched the matter

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Inter Milan are also very interested in Manchester City's current captain for a free transfer at the end of the season. The Nerazzurri are a serious competitor for the Blaugrana since they are coming off a Champions League final and have, for the moment, won their three Champions League matches this season.

It should be noted that, for the moment, it is impossible to know Silva's position regarding these interests. A departure next summer appears, however, increasingly probable, since no rumour reports ongoing discussions with the Sky Blues for a contract extension.
