Maccabi Tel Aviv vs Hamrun Spartans prediction: Maccabi to press home their advantage
Key stats
- Our Maccabi Tel Aviv vs Hamrun Spartans betting tips recognise the home side's defensive porosity of late, as they have failed to keep a clean sheet in five straight games.
- This has largely been down to Maccabi's woes in the early stages of matches, having conceded the opener in all of the aforementioned outings.
- Similarly, Hamrun have also been shoddy at the back recently after conceding eight goals across their most recent three outings.
- Unsurprisingly, the away side are on a three-game losing run and have been beaten in five of their last six matches across all competitions.
Correct score prediction: Maccabi Tel Aviv 3-1 Hamrun Spartans
Despite holding a narrow advantage from the first leg, Maccabi will be keen to put on a dominant display in front of their fans.
We fully expect to secure a fairly comfortable win and book their place in the final qualifying round.
Pre-game odds and win probability: Maccabi all the way
- HOME: 1/5 (1.20) – 83.3%
- DRAW: 6/1 (7.00) – 14.3%
- AWAY: 11/1 (12.00) – 8.3%

With an 83.3 win probability, Maccabi are fancied 10 times as much as their opponents to emerge triumphant, and the onus is firmly on the hosts to live up to expectations.
Zarko Lazetic's men showed great spirit to come from behind last time out as they claimed a 2-1 first-leg victory over Hamrun.
After going behind to N'Dri Koffi's opener 19 minutes from time, Maccabi drew level through Roy Revivo before completing the turnaround in second-half stoppage time through Elad Madmon.
Hamrun have not been in action since last week's defeat and will be aiming to keep their European journey alive before the Maltese Premier League gets underway on Sunday.

Maccabi Tel Aviv preview: Ofek Melika set to return between the sticks
Melika was sent off in his last appearance for Maccabi as they crashed out to Pafos in the Champions League qualifiers.
The Israel international was absent from his side's first-leg win but is back available to play a part in the second leg, which spells bad news for Roi Mishpati.

Hamrun Spartans preview: N'Dri Koffi aiming to build on debut goal
Following his summer arrival from French outfit Sochaux, Koffi was thrown straight into the action for Hamrun but only just opened his account in last week's 2-1 defeat.
The Ivorian will be expected to lead the line once again and will need to be on song if his side are to have any chance of coming back.

Player to watch – Elad Madmon
After netting 12 goals for Hapoel Hadera in the 2023-24 season, Madmon earned himself a move to Maccabi but endured a relatively underwhelming debut campaign, netting just four times across all competitions.
The midfielder has already gotten halfway across his output from last season in four games this term and is one to keep an eye on.

Madmon pushing for a place in the XI after terrific impact off the bench
Madmon was brought on as a half-time substitute last time out, where he netted in stoppage time to hand his side a first-leg advantage.
That was the second time the 21-year-old had found the back of the net off the bench after his equaliser against Pafos back in July.
Madmon will definitely be pushing for a place in the lineup ahead of Thursday's second leg, and he could very well get the nod.
