Luxembourg will take on the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday, 10 June, in an international friendly match in the Gasperich District.
The hosts come into the match on the back of a 1-0 loss on home soil to Slovenia, while the visitors come into it after drawing 1-1 with Senegal at the Aviva Stadium.
It's not necessarily a match that will tell us an awful lot about either side, with both nations more focused on their upcoming World Cup qualifiers later in the year.

Luxembourg vs Republic of Ireland prediction: The visitors to edge it
Key Stats
- Luxembourg have won just one of their last 11 matches in all competitions.
- The Republic of Ireland have lost just one of their last four away matches.
- Both teams have scored in each of the Republic of Ireland's last three matches.
Correct score prediction: Luxembourg 1-2 Republic of Ireland
Luxembourg are a handy side at home, as evidenced by their recent win over Sweden here, but the Republic of Ireland have been good under Heimir Hallgrimsson, and it should be considered a shock if they don't do the business on Tuesday night. They do have a knack for conceding goals, though, so expect the hosts to at least get on the scoresheet.

Luxembourg preview: A welcome return home
Luxembourg didn't do too badly against Slovenia last time out, and if the goal here is to be competitive once again, then an identical starting XI could be selected. On the flip side, this match could be usedas an opportunity to experiment ahead of the World Cup qualifiers in September.

Republic of Ireland preview: Championship man joins the squad
The big news out of the Irish camp this week is that Stoke City midfielder, Bosun Lawal, has been added to the squad for the match against Luxembourg. It's unlikely that Hallgrimsson would have called him up if he was planning on playing him, so he can expect some minutes on Tuesday. Troy Parrot could also get a start after recovering from an illness.

Player to watch: Troy Parrott

Troy Parrott missed the Republic of Ireland's last match with Senegal due to a bug but is expected to play against Luxembourg on Tuesday night. Parrott has been brilliant in the Eredivisie over the past two seasons, scoring a combined 31 goals and is becoming the player that FAI had hoped he would when he was coming through the ranks at Tottenham.
