Ludogorets will take on Slavia Prague in the Europa League on Wednesday, 25 September as the 2024/25 edition of the competition kicks off.
Ludogorets qualified for the Europa League after coming through a playoff against Metrocub and will be feeling confident for this one after a strong start to their domestic season.
Slavia Prague qualified for the tournament by default after losing a Champions League playoff against Lille. Dropping into the Europa League may be a blessing in disguise, especially with how well they have started their domestic season, too.

Ludogorets vs Slavia Prague prediction: The hosts to avoid defeat
Key Stats
- Ludogorets have won three of their four home European matches this season.
- Slavia Prague lost their most recent away match in Europe.
- Two of Ludogorets' last three matches have produced fewer than three goals.
Correct score prediction: Ludogorets 1-1 Slavia Prague
This is a tough match to call as both teams have been performing well in their domestic seasons. Both clubs are 22 points from their first eight matches of the season. Ludogrets are very strong at home and Slavia Prague have already demonstrated that they are vulnerable on the road in Europe this season so a draw or a win for the hosts feels like a good bet.
Pre-game odds and win probability: The visitors edge the odds
- HOME: 11/5 (3.20) – 31.3%
- DRAW: 12/5 (3.40) – 29.4%
- AWAY: 6/5 (2.20) – 45.5%
*odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change
Ludogrets come into this one as the underdogs as the bookies which makes our prediction of a Ludogorets win or draw great value at 13/20. Ladbrokes have priced a Ludogorets win at 11/5 while a win for Slavia Prague has been priced at 6/5. The draw, which would at least get both teams off to a good start, has been priced at 12/5.

Player to watch: Thomas Chory
Thomas Chory signed for Slavia Prague this summer following a couple of good seasons for Viktoria Plzen where he scored 25 league goals in 64 appearances. Chory has started relatively well for his new club, scoring four goals and providing one assist.
Two of those goals came in Champions League qualifying, indicating that he is a man prepared for European football. How he fares in the Europa League will go a long way to determining how good of a signing he has been.
