A new era has begun at Liverpool under Iraola after Arne Slot was sacked for what was an underwhelming season.
Indeed, having won the Premier League in 2024/25, the Reds finished fifth last campaign with no silverware.
Meanwhile, Iraola's Bournemouth impressed in sixth as the Spaniard helped the Cherries into Europe for the first time in their history.
Liverpool will be hoping for a much better season this time around, and got off to a winning start under Iraola against Sunderland, but it came at the expense of Joe Gomez who was forced off injured.
Wrexham have no fresh injury concerns of their own after impressively beating Leeds 3-2 last time out.
Phil Parkinson's side have shown they can mix it with Premier League teams in pre-season so far, as they aim to reach English football's summit once more.
They unfortunately finished just outside the Championship play-offs in seventh last term, and will be hoping to better that come this season with the financial backing they have.
Wrexham will be underdogs here, but we would not completely rule them out of causing another upset.

Whispers predicts: Liverpool 3-1 Wrexham
Liverpool are 53/100 (1.53) favourites to win, but while we agree with the bookies, we want to pick out some more ambitious bets.
Over 3.5 goals at 1/1 (2.00) has caught our eye as an opening pick, with Liverpool and Wrexham's last games seeing six and five goals shared respectively.
Dominik Szoboszlai was the standout performer against Sunderland with a goal and assist, and we are backing the Hungarian to continue his fine form from last season.
Szoboszlai to score anytime at 2/1 (3.00) therefore appeals as our next bet, while we are also backing Correct score – 3-1 at 10/1 (11.00) as we feel there will be plenty of goals shared.
> Over 3.5 goals at 1/1 (2.00) | Likelihood: Probable
> Szoboszlai to score anytime at 2/1 (3.00) | Likelihood: Possible
> Correct score – 3-1 at 10/1 (11.00) | Likelihood: Outsider
