🔥 Our Hot tip

Double chance - Draw or Galatasaray

Liverpool have won just once in eight previous H2Hs.

Liverpool will need to overturn a one-goal deficit if they are going to get through in the second leg of their last-16 Champions League tie against Galatasaray at Anfield on Wednesday night.

The Turks beat them 1-0 in the first leg in Istanbul, and now have something to hold onto to try and get through to the quarter-finals.

Liverpool may not be overly confident of getting the result they need after a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Tottenham in the Premier League, and will have to play a lot better to beat Galatasaray.

Liverpool's season hinders on them qualifying for the Champions League again next season, and even potentially winning this year's competition.

The Reds have won the Champions League more than any other English club (six), but their chances of adding a seventh this campaign seem very slim.

🔍 Whispers Insight

Liverpool have gone five games without a clean sheet.

Liverpool look far off the team that won the Premier League title last season, and have just come off the back of a poor result against Tottenham.

It is not out of the question that they could overturn the first-leg deficit against Galatasaray, but Reds fans will be travelling to Anfield more in hope than expectations.

As for the visitors, they have been banned from allowing any away supporters into the stadium, which is certainly a blow.

However, the players just need to do their jobs on the pitch, and a positive result would see them go through to the quarter-finals.

🔍 Whispers Insight

Only one of the previous seven H2Hs has failed to see Galatasaray score.

Gala are also on to win the Super Lig title being seven points clear of bitter rivals Fenerbahce at the top of the table, and still in the Turkish Cup too, this could represent a special season for them.

Nonetheless, with Liverpool not in the best of places, they can take advantage of that.

Whispers predicts: Liverpool 1-1 Galatasaray

Liverpool are overwhelming favourites with bookmakers to win the game with shortest odds of 3/10, but given their inconsistent form, we are happy to back against them.

Double chance - Draw or Galatasaray at 14/5 with AK BETS is therefore worth backing in our eyes.

The Turks have also conceded just twice in their last five matches, and both teams have scored the same number in that time.

Under 2.5 goals at 12/5 with bet365 is therefore another bet we want to back after 90 minutes.

In terms of a safer bet, BTTS - Yes at 7/10 with Ladbrokes could come through given it has happened in eight games combined between both teams in the Champions League.

In conclusion, we fancy Galatasaray to get a positive result, and our 1-1 scoreline prediction is available at 12/1 with some bookmakers.

📈 Whispers' Tips

> BTTS - Yes at 7/10 | Likelihood: Probable

> Under 2.5 goals at 12/5 | Likelihood: Possible

> Double chance - Draw or Galatasaray at 14/5 | Likelihood: Outsider
