The 34-year-old versatile centre-back has made 18 appearances in Ligue 1 and a further seven appearances in the Europa League.
The former Villarreal and Real Betis defender has recorded 1.6 interceptions and 3.1 clearances per game, in this competition, and he could play a key role on Thursday.
