The French Super Cup kicks off at Stade Bollart-Delelis on Sunday, 16 August, as RC Lens host reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain in a battle for the first bragging rights of the new season in France.
PSG are record 14-time Trophee des Champions winners, while Lens have never lifted the trophy before. The one-off finale makes it way back to mainland France for the first time since 2023.

Days after winning the UEFA Super Cup against Aston Villa, PSG return to play another final, this time in the Trophee des Champions. A second trophy of the new season is on the line for the Parisians.
Luis Enrique’s men became the first team to retain the Super Cup title since Real Madrid in 2017, with Desire Doue’s man-of-the-match performance sealing the deal.
The Parisians are expected to start with a similar line up as they did against Villa – with nine of their players starting against Arsenal in the UCL final in May.
Nuno Mendes is questionable to start, while David Boly is ruled out for PSG. At the same time, Lens have three players missing: Jonathan Gradit, Jhoanner Chavez and Nidal Celik.
Lens have the advantage of hosting the final on Sunday despite the criticism from PSG supporters.
Les Sang et Or have experienced a decent pre-season schedule, losing only once in normal time – 2-0 against Sunderland last time out.
They will be eager to settle the score and get even with PSG, especially after their near-miss for the Ligue 1 title last season.
Lens make their first Trophee des Champions appearance since 1998, when they lost 1-0 to PSG after winning their one and only Ligue 1 title in history in 1997/98.
