All you need to know ahead of Leicester vs West Ham

We're bringing you our Premier League predictions for a must-win game for Leicester City as they play host to West Ham. Even a win might not prove enough to keep the Foxes in the Premier League but it's the least they have to do to stand a chance of beating Everton and Leeds to safety. West Ham provide the opposition at The King Power Stadium and after beating Leeds last time out, can West Ham do Everton another favour on Sunday?

Over 2.5 Goals

Our first Leicester vs West Ham prediction concerns the total goals scored by both teams. With six of the last seven league meetings between these two clubs producing over 2.5 goals, you can see why we are expecting goals on Sunday. Four of Leicester's and three of West Ham's last six outings in all competitions have ended with at least three goals being scored, adding further weight to our prediction.

James Maddison to Score

Our second Leicester vs West Ham prediction delves into the Anytime Goalscorer market. James Maddison has enjoyed another good season in the blue of Leicester, even if the Foxes have struggled throughout the campaign. The England international has scored 10-goals and provided 9-assists in the Premier League this season and is surely the only choice for the Leicester Player-=of-the-Season award. We're backing Maddison to rise to the occasion and score for Leicester this weekend, but even that might not be enough to save the Foxes from relegation.

Leicester vs West Ham Lineups and Last Match

Leicester

The Foxes held firm against the odds at St James' Park to secure a 0-0 draw that keeps them ahead of Leeds and within 2pts of Everton heading into the last game of the season. Leicester spent most of the game on the backfoot but had a great chance to score near the end of the game, though, it would have been unfair to Newcastle who dominated the game. Justin, Soyuncu, Iheanacho, Dewsbury-Hall, Vestergaard, Bertrand and Ward could all miss the last game of the season due to injury.

Predicted Lineup – Iversen (GK), Souttar, Castagne, Faes, Barnes, Thomas, Tielemans, Ndidi, Soumaré, Vardy & Maddison

West Ham

West Ham put in a very professional performance at home to Leeds last weekend considering they have nothing to play for in the league and have a Conference League final just around the corner. The home side fell behind in the 17th minute but responded really well with an equaliser from Rice just after the half-hour mark and went in level at the break. The second forty-five belonged to West Ham and goals from Bowen and Lanzini sealed a deserved 3-1 victory for the hosts. Scamacca is the main injury concern for David Moyes' side heading into the final game of the campaign.

Predicted Lineup – Fabiański (GK), Ogbonna, Coufal, Zouma, Emerson, Souček, Rice, Fornals, Paquetá, Ings & Bowen

Player to Watch: James Maddison

Maddison had to settle for a place on the bench at St James' Park but was introduced in the second half and almost created a winning goal for the Foxes.

In what is a must-win game for Leicester on Sunday, we fully expect Maddison to start the game and put in a top-class performance just when his side really needs it.  The England international has scored 10-goals in the Premier League this season and has provided 9-assists for his teammates, so he will be key to any chances the Foxes have of winning this game and remaining in the Premier League.

Maddison might well play his last game for Leicester this weekend with rumours of a move to Newcastle imminent, so the former Coventry and Norwich man could sign out in style with a winning performance for the home side.
