Leeds head into another high-profile friendly with confidence after producing one of the standout pre-season performances of the summer against Liverpool.

Daniel Farke's side recovered from a two-goal deficit to claim an impressive 4-2 victory in Chicago, with Brendan Aaronson sparking the comeback before Dominic Calvert-Lewin marked his return from injury with two goals.

Sean Longstaff also found the net as Leeds overwhelmed their Premier League opponents during a dominant second-half display.

The Whites have strengthened significantly ahead of the new campaign, as Centre-back Tarik Muharemovic arrived from Sassuolo, while Harry Wilson has joined following the expiration of his Fulham contract.

Leeds are also pushing to complete the signing of Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford after Illan Meslier's departure to Arsenal.

Farke will welcome another demanding test against one of Germany's strongest clubs as he continues preparing his squad for the Premier League season.

Leipzig have also enjoyed a productive summer under new head coach Martin Demichelis, who remains unbeaten since taking charge.

The Bundesliga side followed an encouraging start to pre-season with a comfortable 4-0 victory over SC Verl, sealing the result through Lukas Klostermann, Ridle Baku, Ezechiel Banzuzi and Conrad Harder after returning from an intensive training camp in Austria.

Leipzig have been active in the transfer market as they attempt to improve on last season's third-place Bundesliga finish, with Maxime Esteve joining following an impressive campaign with Burnley, Hoffenheim striker Fisnik Asllani strengthening the attack, while experienced goalkeeper Orjan Nyland has also arrived.

With quality throughout the squad and a coach keen to implement an aggressive style, Leipzig should provide Leeds with one of their toughest pre-season examinations.

Whispers predicts: Leeds United 2-2 RB Leipzig

Both sides have approached pre-season with an emphasis on attacking football and have shown plenty of quality in the final third during recent friendlies.

Leeds should create opportunities in front of their home supporters, but Leipzig possess the depth and technical quality to respond throughout a 120-minute contest. Both teams to score and over 3.5 goals are great options in this game.
