Le Havre vs Paris Saint-Germain prediction: PSG’s eighth away league victory?
Key stats
- Le Havre are placed 11th in terms of home form (W5, D5, L2).
- The Dean Club have won only two of their last six matches (D2, L2).
- PSG are unbeaten in three successive competitive outings (W2, D1).
- The Parisians have netted 22 and conceded only 15 in 12 away Ligue 1 games.
Correct score prediction: Le Havre 1-3 Paris Saint-Germain
Le Havre’s struggles have somewhat eased in the French top flight following two wins from their last three matches. Their latest outing ended in disappointment though, as Nantes put two past them without reply. However, they will be glad to return home, where they are unbeaten in four successive games, including back-to-back against two of the top-10 teams.
In contrast, Paris Saint-Germain have bounced back by going unbeaten in three competitive games since falling 3-1 to Rennes in their previous away league trip. Monaco held them to a 2-2 draw at the Parc des Princes in the UEFA Champions League last time out. Luis Enrique needs all three points to see his side maintain the two-point lead over trailing Lens.
Despite PSG’s recent away loss, they are notably better positioned to win when they visit 13th-placed Le Havre. The Parisians should comfortably be able to take three points back to the French capital.
Pre-game odds and win probability: Away advantage
- HOME: 15/2 (8.50) – 11.76%
- DRAW: 19/4 (5.75) – 17.4%
- AWAY: 3/10 (1.30) – 77%
*odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change
At home, Le Havre have beaten Toulouse and Strasbourg by 2-1 results successively before PSG’s visit. However, the Parisians are a different beast altogether, giving them a mere 11.76% win probability rate.
PSG’s away from hasn’t been entirely convincing, given their two losses across their last five competitive trips. However, the away team are strong favourites with 3/10 (1.30) odds, suggesting a 77% chance of success

Player to watch: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

Although Kvaratskhelia is not expected to start, he is bound to appear off the bench in perhaps the second period. The Georgian struck PSG’s all-important second goal in the 2-2 home UCL draw vs Monaco (5-4 on aggregate). He has four goals and three assists this league season, and will be itching to add to his growing tally of goal contributions.
