Manchester City are yet to announce their new manager, but their transfer plans appear to be moving forward.

Reports in France claim the FA Cup winners are advancing in talks to sign young striker Mathys Detourbet from sister club Troyes.

An agreement on a five‑year deal is said to be close, with City planning to loan the 19‑year‑old straight out to AS Monaco in Ligue 1.

Detourbet produced nine goal contributions in 33 games as Troyes won promotion, and he is now set to face his former club before eventually heading to the Etihad Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur are seeking defensive reinforcements under Roberto De Zerbi, and while several of his former players have been linked, attention now appears to have shifted to his homeland.

Indeed, according to reports, Spurs are now considering a move for Juventus centre-back Gleison Bremer, who has a £50 million release clause active until August 10th.

The 29‑year‑old is viewed as a potential replacement for captain Cristian Romero amid uncertainty over his future in north London.

Bremer is also said to be intrigued by working with De Zerbi and the prospect of Premier League football, though Spurs hope to pay less than advertised.

Manchester United are willing to do all they can to beat rivals Man City in the race for Elliot Anderson this summer.

The Nottingham Forest and England midfielder is one of the most sought‑after players in the window, and it’s widely expected he will arrive at the Etihad Stadium after the World Cup.

However, the Red Devils have drafted in owner Jim Ratcliffe to try to salvage a deal, with reports suggesting he would be prepared to meet the 23‑year‑old’s wage demands.

Forest want £100 million for the former Newcastle United man, having already rejected an £80 million offer from the Citizens in recent weeks.
