Mateus Fernandes gives his word to Manchester United
It is no secret that Manchester United are in the market for new central midfielders this summer, and the latest reports online indicate that West Ham's Mateus Fernandes could be on the way to Old Trafford.
According to the reliable SullyTalkz on X, Fernandes' representatives met with Manchester United officials last week and have given their word to the Red Devils that he will prioritise a move to Old Trafford over anywhere else.
Michael Carrick is reportedly a big fan of Fernandes and feels that he could link up well with Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes in the Man Utd engine room.
The news about Fernandes' meeting with United officials comes at the same time as reports in Italy, which indicate that Atalanta's Ederson could also be joining Man Utd early in the transfer window.
Man City eye deal for Marc Cucurella
It is set to be an unusual summer at Manchester City as the club look to navigate their first transfer window without Pep Guardiola in more than a decade.
While Guardiola's successor is yet to be announced, the belief is that Enzo Maresca will take the reins, and the former Chelsea boss could turn to some of his former players when it comes to making signings this summer.
A report from Si Phillips suggests that Marc Cucurella could be Man City's first signing of the post-Guardiola era. The player is well-liked by Maresca and City officials, but he won't be available on the cheap.
If Cucurella does sign for City this summer, it will be interesting to see whether that means Nico O'Reilly moves permanently into midfield or if he will be expected to battle with the Spaniard for the left-back spot in the team.
Bradley Barcola emerges as Liverpool transfer target
Liverpool are planning on going big again this summer, and Bradley Barcola has emerged as a top target.
According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, the PSG forward has been on Liverpool's radar for more than a year now, and there could be an opening this summer if he rejects the opportunity to renew his existing contract in Paris.
Romano also stated that Liverpool's pursuit of Barcola will depend on what Yan Diomande elects to do. The talented winger is being linked with both Liverpool and PSG, and the Reds are unlikely to sign both.
Arne Slot has been consistenly complimentary of PSG during his Liverpool tenure, and the Dutchman would love to get his hands on one of their key players.
