With the opening weekend edging ever closer, there has been a surge in major transfer rumours in England over the last week, with several clubs now stepping up their efforts with the World Cup wrapped up.

Man City are interested in Pedro Neto

Enzo Maresca is reportedly keen on reuniting with Pedro Neto this summer, with the new Man City manager pushing for his new employers to make a serious effort to sign the winger.

According to the Daily Mail, Neto will not come cheap, with the Blues prepared to hold out for at least £100m for him, particularly as Yan Diomande is on the verge of signing for Real Madrid for more than €100m.

Neto signed for Chelsea from Wolves in 2024 and has become an integral part of the squad. It is unknown whether he would be willing to push for a move to the Cityzens, who have already spent more than £100m on one player this summer (Elliot Anderson).

This is not the first Chelsea player to be linked with a move to City this summer, with Enzo Fernandez also reportedly a target.

Al-Nassr to make move for Bruno Fernandes

Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr are said to be on the verge of offering Bruno Fernandes a huge sum of money to get him to quit Manchester United this summer.

According to TEAMtalk, Cristiano Ronaldo is actively pushing for the transfer, which would see the two Portuguese stars link up for the second time in their club careers, following a short spell at Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ralf Rangnick and Erik ten Hag.

Fernandes famously rejected the riches of Saudi Arabia last summer, but after producing his best-ever individual season, he could be offered even more money this time around to convince him to make the switch.

After winning the Saudi Pro League last season, Ronaldo and Al-Nassr will want to push on and retain their title while also being more of a threat in the AFC Champions League Elite.

Cristian Romero linked with Inter Milan

Cristian Romero's time at Tottenham Hotspur could be nearing its end, with the Argentinian defender a top target for Inter Milan.

Romero, who reached the World Cup final this summer, has reportedly decided to leave Spurs this summer for a new challenge, and according to the Guardian, Inter Milan are currently leading the way for his signature.

After signing Jan Paul van Hecke and Marcos Senesi, Tottenham are open to selling Romero for the right fee, and his representatives have been locked in talks with Inter Milan all weekend.

Should Tottenham receive an acceptable fee for their captain, Romero will likely wait until his post-World Cup break is over before heading over to Italy to complete a medical and sign his contract.
