With the World Cup now underway in North America, it's easy to forget that transfer work is being undertaken behind the scenes at all 20 Premier League clubs. In fact, there are already suggestions that certain World Cup performances are attracting attention in this regard.

Below are the biggest transfer headlines from the past 24 hours, including news of Man Utd's latest transfer target and of David Moyes' dream signing as he looks to add more goals to his Everton side.

Liam Delap could be on the move for the third consecutive summer with Everton reportedly preparing a bid for the Chelsea striker.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, David Moyes has identified the 23-year-old as a priority target, with the Scot in desperate need of a new number nine at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Everton are said to be preparing a £30m bid for Delap, but Chelsea are set to demand more than £40m for a player they paid £30m for last summer.

Although he has only been at Stamford Bridge for one season, Delap already has the look of a player who is in need of a fresh start. A move back up north to Everton could be the ideal place for him to rebuild his career.

Arsenal are reportedly trying to steal a march on several transfer rivals by beginning talks with the representatives of Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi.

The 18-year-old, who shone in midfield against Brazil at the World Cup earlier on Saturday night, is rumoured to be a top target for a host of elite clubs, and Mikel Arteta is desperate to get him to the Emirates Stadium.

According to a report in the Times, Arsenal have now opened talks with Lille and the player's agent ahead of a proposed £60m bid.

Whether that is enough to get him out of Lille remains to be seen, particularly as he recently signed a new deal with the French club until 2029.

Man Utd target Bradley Barcola

Bradley Barcola has reportedly become a top transfer target for Manchester United this summer, as Michael Carrick continues his rebuild at Old Trafford.

According to TEAMtalk, Barcola wants out of PSG this summer after being left frustrated by his lack of game time at the back end of last season, and United are now firmly in the race.

If the English giants are to secure a deal for Barcola, they will have to oust the likes of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Barcelona, who are all also reportedly keen on him.

Although midfield reinforcements are the priority for United this summer, they would find it difficult to turn their backs on a move for Barcola, particularly if they receive word that he would be keen on a move to Old Trafford.
