We now have less than a week to go until the January transfer window slams shut, but there are still plenty of deals still on the table across the Premier League.

The Andy Robertson saga is expected to continue over the next week, with Tottenham continuing to push for his signature despite Liverpool's renewed reluctance to sell.

Beyond Robertson, we have all the details on three other major transfer headlines below.

Omar Marmoush is reportedly keen to find the exit door at Manchester City before the transfer window shuts, but the Egyptian's preference is to remain in the Premier League.

According to a report in Caught Offside, Marmoush wants more playing time and, after failing to receive assurances from Pep Guardiola, has asked to leave the Etihad Stadium this month.

The same report lists Tottenham and Aston Villa as the two Premier League sides keen on signing the 26-year-old, with Fenerbahce and Galatasaray also interested in Turkey.

If Marmoush is to get his wish, then it's difficult to see him ending up at Aston Villa. The Villains are currently level on points with Man City in the Premier League table, so strengthening a direct rival isn't something Guardiola will want to do.

Man Utd step up pursuit of Cole Palmer

Manchester United are reportedly considering a move to sign Cole Palmer in the summer amid reports that the Chelsea playmaker is unsettled in London.

According to a report in the Sun, Palmer misses his family and friends in Manchester and would be open to a move to Man Utd as they were the club that he grew up supporting as a young boy.

The same report states that a return to Manchester City is not on the cards, not at least while Pep Guardiola is in charge. Palmer is understood to be unhappy with how the City boss treated him towards the end of his tenure at the Etihad Stadium.

If Man Utd are to secure the services of Palmer, then they will have to go big. The 23-year-old's current contract at Stamford Bridge runs until the end of the 2022/23 season, meaning the Blues can command any fee they like.

James Ward-Prowse close to Burnley switch

James Ward-Prowse's proposed move to Burnley is reportedly back on despite it being reported as ‘off' earlier in the week due to a supposed ‘lack of interest'.

The latest report from Sky Sports indicates that talks are advancing between West Ham and Burnley over a straight loan deal until the end of the season and that there is a desire from all parties to get it over the line before deadline day.

The hope is that the midfielder will undergo a medical before the weekend so that he can be included in the Burnley squad for Monday night's clash with Sunderland.

The decision to sanction this move could come back to haunt West Ham. Burnley will feel that they still have a fighting chance of beating the drop, and Ward-Prowse could help them to achieve these goals at West Ham's expense.
