Just as Puig was LA Galaxy's driving force last season, Ryan Gauld had a similar level of impact for the Whitecaps, racking up 15 goals and 16 assists.

Player to watch – Marco Reus
Marco Reus was LA Galaxy's best player against San Jose and capped off a fine display with a lovely goal to earn a draw.
The German is now up to 10 direct goal contributions for the season and has been perhaps the only silver lining for his side in an otherwise dark season.
Reus now back up to full speed after slow start in LA
Having arrived off the back of a couple of injury-plagued seasons at Borussia Dortmund, Reus needed some time to get going as he managed just one goal in his opening 14 league matches.
However, he has since scored four and assisted six in the subsequent 11 matches, which makes him one to keep an eye on here.
