LA Galaxy vs Real Salt Lake prediction, odds & betting tips 01/06/2025
🔥 Our Hot tip

Over 2.5 goals

Four of the last six matches between these two teams have produced more than two goals.

LA Galaxy will welcome Real Salt Lake to Califrornia on Sunday, 1 June, in a match between two struggling teams in Major League Soccer (MLS).

The visitors come into the match five points away from a place in the post-season, but with more than half of the season still to play, all is not lost.

LA Galaxy, meanwhile, are having an incredibly poor season, which is made even more remarkable when you consider they are the current MLS champions. Galaxy have the worst record in the entire league after 16 games and are yet to win a match this season.

As part of this week's round of MLS betting tips, check out our LA Galaxy vs Real Salt Lake prediction below.

LA Galaxy vs Real Salt Lake prediction: Expect goals in the City of Angels

Key Stats

  • At least three goals have been scored in five of LA Galaxy's last six matches.
  • Neither of these two sides have recorded a win in their last five matches.
  • 50% of LA Galaxy's last four matches have finished level.

Correct score prediction: LA Galaxy 2-2 Real Salt Lake

The poor form of both of these teams makes it difficult to predict either of them to win this match, which is why we're sitting on the fence and calling a draw. The hosts haven't won a match all season, while the visitors have picked up just two points from their last four matches on the road.

Predicted lineup: Micovic (GK), Cuevas, Zanka, Yoshida, Nelson, Sanabria, Cerrillo, Pec, Fagundez, Paintsil, Nascimento

Player to watch: Gabriel Pec

Gabriel Pec

So far this season, Gabriel Pec has fallen well short of the levels he reached in his debut campaign for LA Galaxy in 2024, where he scored 19 goals and provided 16 assists. This season, the Brazilian is on just one goals and two assists from 13 appearances, and his form is certainly a concern. If the 23-year-old can rediscover his best form, then Galaxy should have a far better second half to the campaign.
