Ivory Coast dug out a 1-0 win over Gabon on Friday to prolong their perfect winning start to their World Cup qualification campaign and while they have been installed as 21/50 favourites to make it four wins from four this week when the odds populate, Les Éléphants will need to be at their best to prevail at Kenya.
The Kenyans have won three of their last four matches and while their probability of success on Tuesday might be on the low side, they have the quality to compete. You can read more of our latest predictions for this week’s other matches on our football betting tips page.
Last five H2Hs: Nations have never met before
Tuesday’s fixture will be the first-ever encounter between Kenya and the Ivory Coast, making the contest in Lilongwe a historic showdown.
Kenya preview: Hosts could stick with same XI
Kenya missed an opportunity to strengthen their World Cup qualification bid when they were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Burundi on Friday afternoon. Nevertheless, Head Coach Engin Firat is unlikely to make many changes to his team or set-up ahead of Tuesday's follow-up fixture.
Predicted lineup: Matasi (GK), Onyango, Omurwa, Anyembe, Omar, Akumu, Odada, Ouma, Muguna, Miheso, Olunga

Ivory Coast preview: Adringa pushing to start

Player to watch – Sebastien Haller
French-born Ivory Coast international striker Sebastien Haller has plenty of pedigree having played his club football in the Netherlands, England and Germany over the past few seasons, and the target man has been a reliable source of goals since declaring for Les Éléphants in 2020.

Haller’s impressive record
The 29-year-old has collected 26 caps for the Ivory Coast over the last four years and Haller is already on double-figure goals for his country (ten). Haller bagged a goal from the spot in the Ivory Coast’s 9-0 mauling of Seychelles on matchday one in Group F, though he hasn’t scored in a qualifying fixture since. Haller will be keen to rectify that on Tuesday, however.
