Kenya and Burundi haven’t met in any capacity since 2017. The Kenyans came out on top after extra time in that encounter (1-0), though we can’t draw many conclusions from a fixture that took place seven years ago.
Kenya preview: Prolific Olunga to lead the line
Kenya will be without the services of Joseph Okumu, Brian Onyango, Clifton Miheso and Hassan Abdallah this week. None of the members of the current Keynan roster play their club football in Europe's “Big 5” domestic leagues. Kenya beat Seychelles 5-0 in their last qualifier.

Burundi preview: Visitors have their stars back
Burundi were missing several experienced players for their last international, though Christophe Nduwarugira, Frédéric Nsabiyumva, Rashid Léon Harerimana, Shassiri Nahimana, Hussein Shabani and Cédric Amissi should be among those to return, giving Head Coach's Etienne Ndayiragije a much better set of options to pick from.
Predicted lineup: Nahimana(GK), Mukombozi, Nsabiyumva, Nduwarugira, Liongola, Mvuyekure, Ndayishimiye, Kanakimana, Ntibazonkiza, Bigirimana, Razak

Player to watch – Michael Olunga
While he isn’t quite a household name in Europe, Michael Olunga has been a star performer in both the Asian and African game over the last few years and the lethal finisher is a consistent goal-getter for both club and country.

Olunga has the ability to convert chances
Olunga has scored an impressive 24 goals in 56 appearances for Kenya and seven of those efforts were dispatched in his last three international runouts alone. The 30-year-old plays his club football with Al Duhail in the Qatar Stars League, where he notched a superb 15 times in 18 runouts last term.
The centre-forward also enjoyed a prolific spell with Japanese J-League outfit Kashiwa Reysol earlier in his career, where he hit 55 goals in 62 appearances.
