Juventus ensured they went into the international break in high spirits as they secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Genoa on August 31.

Inter Milan preview: Looking to bounce back
Inter Milan were condemned to their first home defeat of the season just before the international break when they fell to a 2-1 defeat against Udinese on August 31.
Dutch international Denzel Dumfries struck in the 17th minute to put the hosts in the driver’s seat, but Udinese upped the ante, with Keinan Davis and Arthur Atta hitting the target to turn the game on its head.
Prior to that, Cristian Chivu’s men were on a run of five back-to-back victories, including an emphatic 5-0 win over Torino in their 2025-26 Serie A curtain-raiser on August 24.
While Inter Milan will look to bounce back this weekend, they go up against an opposing side that they failed to get the better of in both home and away meetings last term.

The 28-year-old was in action for France against Iceland in the World Cup qualifiers on Tuesday and should lead the attack for Inter Milan this weekend, alongside skipper Lautaro Martinez, who will be looking to add to his two goals in 14 league matches against Juventus.
After netting 13 goals in his debut season in the Serie A, Thuram hit 14 in 32 appearances (27 starts) last term while also chipping in four assists as the Nerazzurri finished second in the table, one point behind champions Napoli.
