Honduras vs Curacao predictions: A low-scoring affair
Key stats
- Four of Honduras' last five matches went below the 2.5-goal line.
- Curacao's last 10 matches, and Honduras' last seven games featured less than five cards.
- There were fewer than 11 corners in each of Curacao's last seven games.
Correct score prediction: Honduras 0-1 Curacao
Although they have no wins in two group games so far, Curacao have perhaps been the most impressive side in Group B. Despite being the overwhelming underdogs, they held their own and were the better side against Canada last week.
As it stands, Curacao are on a four-match unbeaten run across all competitions, and they have won two of their three previous encounters with Honduras.
Considering Honduras' humiliating 6-0 defeat to Canada, we are leaning towards Curacao for the win.

We have also established that fewer than three goals were scored in four of Honduras' last five matches. Keeping in mind that two of three previous meetings between these teams went below the 1.5-goal line, under 2.5 total goals has an appealing look at 7/10 (1.70). That one has a 58.8% chance of landing.
Most recent H2Hs: First encounter in three years

Honduras preview: No new absentees
Head coach of Honduras, Reinaldo Rueda, made changes to the side that lost heavily to Canada in their opener. This proved to be a good decision, as Los Catrachos beat El Salvador 2-0 last time out to stay second in Group B.
Honduras will certainly advance to the quarterfinals with a victory, but a draw could be enough to reach the knockout stages, provided that Canada do not lose to Curacao.
Predicted lineup: Menjivar (GK), Crisanto, Maldonado, Martinez, Rosales, Flores, Arriaga, Quioto, Alvarez, Rodriguez & Benguche.

Curacao preview: Bacuna brothers suspended
Curacao put up their best performance in this competition to earn a deserved point when they faced Canada in their second Group B game.
To be fair, Dick Advocaat's troops could have snatched all three points in that clash with a stroke of luck after VAR cancelled two second-half goals for close offside judgments. They remain on course for qualification with a win against Honduras.
Having watched how well his troops played last time, we expect Advocaat to retain his starting XI for this contest, except for the suspended duo, Juninho Bacuna and Leandro Bacuna. Both brothers are unavailable for this match after accumulating yellow cards in consecutive games.
Predicted lineup: Room (GK), Brenet, Gaari, Eijma, Floranus, L. Bacuna, Comenencia, Margarita, J. Bacuna, Gorre & Locadia.

Player to watch: Romell Quioto
Romell Quioto opened the scoring in Honduras' 2-0 victory over El Salvador a couple of days ago. The Al Arabi forward has scored four times in his last seven international assignments and will fancy his chances against Curacao.
