After losing their first pre-season friendlies this summer, new Motherwell boss Alfred Johansson will have been delighted to pick up his first win as the club's manager in the first leg against HB last week.
After registering seven shots on target, there will perhaps even be a feeling that Motherwell could have killed the tie in Scotland last week, but they now have to travel to the Faroe Islands fully switched on and wary of a comeback.
The Steelmen haven't played a match since the first leg, which should mean they come into this clash nice and fresh, and although their domestic campaign begins this weekend, they will likely put everything into this match and deal with any tired legs on Sunday.
So far, Motherwell's new signings have impressed this summer. Jake Girdwood-Reich and Martin Moorman are expected to form a new partnership at the back for Johansson's side this season, and they were both excellent in the first leg.
As for HB Torshavn, they have nothing to lose on Thursday night so will certainly throw caution to the wind in a bid to pull off a comeback and qualify for the third round of qualifying.
Although they were poor last week in Scotland, they still managed to record three shots on target and another day, they could have escaped with just a one-goal deficit or even a draw.
The key on Thursday will be getting the first goal, which would certainly ramp up the atmosphere and the pressure on the visitors to see the game out.
Interestingly, their domestic season is ongoing, which should help them on Thursday, particularly if they are pushing for a winner or an equaliser late on, as Motherwell's only competitive match since May was the first leg last week.
