Egypte top Group A  of the African World Cup qualifiers with a 100% record after the opening three rounds of fixtures.

Next up for The Pharaohs is a trip to second-placed Guinea-Bissau who are the only team in Group A, along with Egypt, that are yet to taste defeat.

We're predicting a close and competitive 90 minutes between these two great African nations but believe that the visitors' added quality will see them through to victory.

Egypt preview: Lots of quality in attack

Egypt smashed Djibouti 6-0 and then claimed a 2-0 victory over Tanzania before their 2-1 win over Burkina Faso last time out to take a commanding lead in Group A.

Along with their captain and talisman Mohamed Salah, Egypt have so much quality and goals in their side via the likes of Trézéguet, who scored both goals in midweek, and Mostafa Mohamed of Nantes, while Mohamed Elneny chips in with a goal every now and again from midfield.

Predicted lineup: El Shenawy (GK), Rabia, Hany, Abdelmonem, Trézéguet, Zizo, Fathy, Ashour, Attia, Salah & Mohamed

Player to watch – Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah will become a centurian if he plays any part against Guinea-Bissau on Monday as the Egypt star has 99 caps following his appearance against Burkina Faso in midweek.

The Liverpool forward already has four goals to his name in these World Cup qualifiers and scored against Guinea-Bissau when these two nations locked horns in 2022, so you wouldn't bet against the 31-year-old scoring on Monday.

Plenty of players have made it to the 100 caps mark for Egypt over the years but the most notable for Salah is fellow forward Hossam Hassan who is second on the list of all-time appearances with 176 but has the record for most Egypt goals (68).

The Egypt star will be hoping to break Hossam Hassan's goal record one day

Surely, Salah will eventually surpass Hassan's impressive goal tally over the next few years if he continues to play into his mid-30s. We're backing Salah to impress on Monday against Guinea-Bissau in what will be a landmark appearance for the Liverpool forward.
