Match result - Draw

Both sides are closely matched this season, while since David Moyes returned to Everton, no other team has drawn more than their 14 games.

Fulham vs Everton is bound to be an exciting fixture, as the two teams clash in the Premier League at Craven Cottage on Saturday, February 7.

Both sides are on 34 points and have exact goal differences of minus one, but the hosts have an advantage of scoring more goals than the Toffees this season.

European places are still within touching distance, just six points away from fifth, which makes this clash all the more tantalising.

Fulham vs Everton prediction: A close affair expected

Key stats

  • Fulham have only lost two of their last nine Premier League games, winning five times in that run.
  • Only the top three in the division have won more games at home than Fulham ahead of this round.
  • The Cottagers have scored in 11 of their 12 home matches, including at least twice in each of the last three.
  • Five of Fulham’s last six games saw both teams score.

Correct score prediction: Fulham 1-1 Everton

Everton themselves are on a great run away from home, avoiding defeat in each of their last four such matches. The Toffees have drawn three of their last four league matches regardless of the venue. David Moyes’ men showed resilience last week to score late and rescue a point against Brighton. It likely finishes 1-1, which occurred in 25% of Everton’s home games and 17% of their away dates this season.

Pre-game odds and win probability: Hosts still favourites

  • HOME: 21/20 (2.05) – 48.8%
  • DRAW: 23/10 (3.30) – 30.3%
  • AWAY: 13/5 (3.60) – 27.8%

*odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change

It makes sense that Ladbrokes have Fulham down as firm favourites to win this at 48.8%, especially since they only lost 25% of their Premier League games at Craven Cottage. Everton’s 27.8% chance of winning away from home is also justified, with the Toffees losing four of their 12 road trips this term. There is a reason that the bookmaker has favoured a draw to happen at 30.3% more than an away victory.

Fulham preview: New signing out through injury

Fulham secured the services of Man City midfielder Oscar Bobb during the January transfer window. However, the Norwegian has not played football since December, as he is currently battling a hamstring strain. Forward Rodrigo Muniz has a similar problem, while Sasa Lukic sat out the last two games through injury.

Predicted lineup: Leno; Castagne, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Iwobi, Berge; Wilson, Smith Rowe, Chukwueze; Jimenez

Last five matches

  • Man United 3-2 Fulham
  • Fulham 2-1 Brighton
  • Leeds 1-0 Fulham
  • Fulham 3-1 Middlesbrough
  • Fulham 2-1 Chelsea

Everton preview: Mykolenko a doubt

Defender Vitaliy Mykolenko might not make the trip to West London, as he battles a knock that kept him out of the squad last weekend against Brighton. Jack Grealish is already ruled out for the rest of the season, which is a huge blow for the travelling party. Moyes must use what he has at his disposal, but the addition of Tyrique George in the transfer window should alleviate some pressure for the remainder of the campaign.

Predicted lineup: Pickford; O’Brien, Tarkowski, Keane, Branthwaite; Gueye, Garner; Armstrong, Dewsbury-Hall, Ndiaye; Barry

Last five matches

  • Brighton 1-1 Everton
  • Everton 1-1 Leeds
  • Aston Villa 0-1 Everton
  • Everton 1-1 Sunderland
  • Everton 1-1 Wolves

Player to watch: Harry Wilson

Harry Wilson has been in great form for Fulham in recent weeks, scoring four goals across his last six games in all competitions.

Wilson leads the scoring charts for Fulham in the Premier League with eight in total, accounting for 24% of the club’s total this season.

The midfielder will no doubt be one to watch if the Cottagers are to find some joy on Saturday.
