France and Germany face off against each other in what promises to be an exciting quarter-final in the UEFA Women's European Championships in Switzerland on Saturday night. Les Bleues have been one of the outstanding teams of the tournament so far, and will surely fancy themselves to progress to the semi-finals.
Indeed, they won all three of their games in Group D, including impressive 2-1 and 5-2 victories against the holders England and heavyweights the Netherlands respectively. Germany finished in second place in Group C, after a disappointing 4-1 defeat to Sweden in their previous outing.

Player to watch: Sakina Karchaoui

Sakina Karchaoui has been nothing short of excellent for France in the tournament so far, starting with a highly influential performance against England and ending with a goal and assist against the Netherlands in the group stage. She also netted the winning goal when the two teams last met in February of last year, and so Germany will have to keep an eye especially on her ahead of the clash on Saturday night.
