Everton to win (+1.5 handicap)

Arsenal have failed to beat Everton by two or more goals in each of their last four meetings with them.

Everton will take on Arsenal at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday, 20 December, in a huge match for the visitors.

After seeing their lead at the top of the Premier League table chopped down to just two points in recent weeks, Arsenal can not afford to drop more points here.

As part of this week's round of Premier League betting tips, check out our Everton vs Arsenal prediction below.

Everton vs Arsenal prediction: The Gunners to scrape through

Key Stats

  • Arsenal have only won one of their last four Premier League matches by a margin of two goals or more.
  • Everton have lost two of their last four matches at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
  • Both teams have scored in three of Arsenal's last four Premier League matches.

Correct score prediction: Everton 1-2 Arsenal

Arsenal have not been convincing domestically for around a month now, and this won't be an easy task. Everton have the players to cause Arsenal some damage, but the Gunners' extra quality should see them through.

Pre-game odds and win probability: Arsenal are the favourites

  • HOME: 9/2 (5.50) – 18.2%
  • DRAW: 14/5 (3.80) 26.3%
  • AWAY: 8/13 (1.62) – 61.9%

*odds from Ladbrokes, subject to change

The Everton vs Arsenal odds indicate that the visitors should take all three points with them back to London. The Gunners have been given a 61.9% chance of victory, while Everton have been given just an 18.2% chance.

Most recent H2Hs: Advantage Arsenal

Arsenal have the better of the recent H2Hs, with the Gunners unbeaten across their last five matches against the Toffees (three wins, two draws). Those two draws did come in both of the matches they played against each other last season, though, which should give Everton some confidence.

Everton preview: Question marks over key men

Everton could be without two of their best players, with Kieran Dewsbury-Hall definitely out with a hamstring injury and Jack Grealish a further doubt. To make matters worse, Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gueye have both gone to AFCON. Jarrod Branthwaite and Seamus Coleman remain long-term absentees.

Predicted lineup: Pickford (GK), O'Brien, Keane, Tarkowski, Mykolenko, Garner, Iroegbunam, Dibling, Alcaraz, Grealish, Barry

Last five results

  • Man City 2-0 Brentford
  • Crystal Palace 0-3 Man City
  • Real Madrid 1-2 Man City
  • Man City 3-0 Sunderland
  • Fulham 4-5 Man City

Arsenal preview: A long injury list

Arsenal have the deepest squad in the division, and they are making full use of it this weekend. Ben White is the latest defender to go down, but Riccardo Calafiori is back in a big boost for Mikel Arteta. White joins Cristhian Mosquera, Gabriel, Kai Havertz and Max Dowman in the treatment room.

Predicted lineup: Raya (GK), Timber, Saliba, Hincapie, Calafiori, Zubimendi, Odegaard, Rice, Saka, Gyokeres, Trossard

Last five results

  • Arsenal 2-1 Wolves
  • Club Brugge 0-3 Arsenal
  • Aston Villa 2-1 Arsenal
  • Arsenal 2-0 Brentford
  • Chelsea 1-1 Arsenal

Player to watch: Viktor Gyokeres

While he deserves some grace after being out for three weeks with an injury last month, the signing of Viktor Gyokeres has not gone to plan so far. The big Swede, who scored more than 50 goals for Sporting Lisbon in all competitions last season, is on just six in all competitions so far for the Gunners.
