The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is another gem from Palmeiras, who has a release clause of €100m (£88m) for the foreign market.

Estevao, Endrick, Vitor Reis, Gabriel Jesus, Luis Guilherme. These are just some examples of the biggest sales in Palmeiras' history, which has become “Brazil's talent factory”. According to newspaper AS, another Verdao jewel could join the list: Allan.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is monitored by the European market, with interested parties in Portugal and England. In the case of the Premier League, Everton, Fulham and West Ham are exploring options behind the scenes to try to close a deal in the upcoming transfer windows.

Allan has a contract with Palmeiras until the end of 2029 and a release clause of €100m (£88m) for abroad. With this, Verdao feel protected to fully explore a fair value to negotiate their number 40.

Allan's start at Palmeiras

After a spell in Figueirense's youth categories, Allan arrived at Palmeiras' academy aged 14 and, since then, has emerged as one of the great names of his generation. The attacking midfielder has always been known for his dribbling and technical refinement in offensive plays.

Left-footed, Allan also stands out for his versatility, so much so that he has already played on both wings and even as a midfielder. In the youth team, the number 40 accumulated titles wearing the green and white shirt: Copinha champion (2023), two-time Brazilian Under-20 champion (2022 and 2024), Copa do Brasil Under-20 champion (2022) and Paulista Under-20 champion (2023).

His debut among the professionals happened this season. After scoring his first goal in Abel Ferreira's team in February, Allan began to receive regular opportunities at Palmeiras in recent months, being crucial in the Copa Libertadores.

At the end of October, the attacking midfielder was the best on the pitch in the second leg against LDU, who had a 3-0 advantage. At Allianz Parque, Allan orchestrated the 4-0 with an assist for Ramon Sosa's goal and by winning a penalty – converted by Raphael Veiga.

Enquiries from the Premier League for Allan

The consistency has earned praise in the international press. AS called Verdao's number 40 a “complete player”, praising his quality in passing, dribbling and defensive support. Allan's “impressive performances” are also reflected in direct goal involvements.

Portuguese and English clubs are not the first to approach Palmeiras about the number 40. In the last window, Zenit from Russia and Neom SC from Saudi Arabia made offers of up to €20m (£17.1m) for Allan.

However, the green and white board rejected the advances by understanding that the attacking midfielder can yield at least €30m (£25.5m), as reported by ESPN. Allan leaves the business to his staff whilst focused on finishing 2025 with titles for Verdao.
